Susan Dix Lyons, President
Susan Dix Lyons has over two decades of leadership experience, working in the areas of healthcare, media, and design. She is the Founder of Clinica Verde, a global healthcare organization started to create a prototype of a new model of care for families living in poverty in Nicaragua. Susan was also co-Founder and Design Director of The Better Lab, a venture located at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital that uses design to study and fix healthcare challenges. In 2014 Susan was honored as an Unsung Hero of Compassion by the 14th Dalai Lama. She served as a Lecturer and Fellow at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University (d.school) in 2014-2015, where she spent the year immersed in the study and application of human-centered design. In 2016 Clinica Verde was selected as a Classy Finalist as one of the most innovative social impact organizations of the year. Susan is grateful every day for a life of purposeful work and the big love of family.
Peter Stanley, Principal, LEED AP
Peter’s career has spanned much of the design and building process. He started in the construction trades before moving over into managing design and development projects for Simons & Brecht and later AXIA Architects. In 2002, he started his own facilities management and development consulting practice where his understanding of project management helped shape complex plans into reality. In 2006 he founded ArchiLOGIX, a design and development strategies consulting firm with a concentration on private development, commercial, institutional and mixed-use projects. Complimenting his career, Peter contributes his time and expertise to nonprofit organizations like the Santa Rosa Chapter of Rebuilding Together; as well as his appointment to the City of Santa Rosa’s Planning Commission; also he is the Development Director for a community building project in Nicaragua that has funded, designed and constructed a neighborhood of low-income homes including infrastructure, schools and a community center. Peter is a founding Board member of Clinica Verde, a global health non profit committed to the development and operation of sustainable medical clinics in Nicaragua. Their first clinic was opened in January 2012 in Boaco, Nicaragua currently serves 10,000 patients per year.
